Horoya AC forward Bolaji Sakin has hailed the resolution of the Confederation of Africa Football CAF to end the two-legged final in both the Champions league and Confederation cup.
Sakin told footballlive.ng the new format will make the final more interesting and align it with the obtainable practice in the best club competitions.
He said the former practice of playing home and away has robbed African football of quality.
“That’s a very great decision from CAF because that’s the real final, you cannot be playing final two times.
“It’s a final, it’s just one game so that you play it once then we know who emerge as the champion but playing final home and away isn’t it.
“So I totally agree with CAF and it’s a very good decision from there.”
