Alex Iwobi yet played a crucial part in Everton’s shock result at the Etihad against EPL CHampions, Manchester City on New Year’s Eve.

Iwobi played the entire duration of the game as Everton snatched a point from the tie to halt their three-game losing streak.

He posted some big numbers on the defensive end including 5 tackles, 2 interceptions, 3 clearances, 2 blocks, 3 dribbles from just 39 touches on the ball.

However, it was Demarai Gray who did the most, his 64th minute equalizer – Everton’s only shot on goal – cancelled out Erling Haaland’s first half (24′) strike.

The visitors were outclassed in eavery aspect of the game, but, their defence held and despite the barrage of ttacking assault from Manchester City, Frank Lampard would have been delighted to see his players leave it all on the pitch.

A result which looks like a momentary reprieve for the under fire Everton boss, Lampard and will hi steam return to action again on January 3, when they host Brighton in the league.
