Samuel Chukwueze got a goal and an assist for in Villarreal’s victory over Lech Poznan in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday.
Chukwueze got his goal in the 32nd minute to bring Villarreal level after Michal Skoras’ opener in the second minute.
The Nigerian then turned provider in the 36th minute for Alex Baena to turn the game on its head. Baena got his second of the night in the 40th minute to double his side’s lead.
However, the visitors reduced the deficit and eventually leveled the scoreline again with a double from Mikael Ishak (46’& 61′).
Eventually, Villarreal snatched a late winner through Francis Coquelin in the 89th minute to get their campaign off to a winning start.
