Big L for Aribo and Southampton against Villa

Joe Aribo got minutes off the bench in Southampton’s Premier League match against Aston Villa on Friday night, but his team ended up on the losing side at Villa Park.

Southampton had lost in their last PL outing, at home against Wolves, and hoped to bounce back against a team also struggling for form this season and  behind them in the standings.

However, Jacod Ramsey’s goal in the 41st minute of the encounter was enough to decide the game.

Aribo was a second half substitute, introduced by Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl after the restart in a double substitution.

The 26 year-old, making his 7th league appearance this season, could not impact the game.

He did however registered the most dribbles (7) by any player in the match, 1 tackle, 1 Clearance, 32 touches and 19 passes in his 45 minutes shift.

It was a bad night for the Saints, who are now picked up just seven points in as many matches.
