Beware Real Madrid! Chelsea beats Southampton Silly

Chelsea conceded 7 goals in two. Consecutive games including a 4-1 defeat to Brentford at the bridge, but on Saturday, Thomas Tuchel’s Army march on to redeem their reputation.

The Blues put Six past Southampton at St. Mary’s on Saturday as a timely response to their back to back defeats last week.
Four different Players scored for them in the first half, Marcos Alonso from all the way back leading the line.
The in form Kai Havertz got his name on the score sheet as did his German compatriot Timo Werner and Mason Mount all ensure the game was beyond salvaging for the Saints.
After the restart Werner and Mount added one each to stretch the lead even further and effectively killed off any hopes of a contest.
Apparently, the result leaves Tuchel a proud Manager heading into the crucial second leg UEFA Champions League quarter final match against Real Madrid in Spain.
Madrid punished Chelsea 3-1 at the Bridge on Wednesday and might be quite confident considering the first leg advantage and they’ll host the return game at the Santiago Bernabéu.
That game though was initially ruled as dead for Chelsea by their Boss, who though clarified that his team had to raise their game to stand a chance and Southampton would be their immediate concern.
On the night, Karim Benzema made Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy pick the ball out of the net three times in a spectacular show of the Striker’s brilliance.
The Senegal shot stopper did return between the sticks on Saturday but had very little to do – he made only one save in 90minutes from four shots.
Chelsea will be back in action on Tuesday when they play away against Real Madrid.
