Defender Moses Odubajo heads a list of five players that have left Brentford after a less than impressive season at the Griffin Park.
He was re-signed by former coach Dean Smith in 2018 and mustered 30 appearances during his one year stay.
With the club deciding to give Academy products the chance to prove their mettle next season at Griffin Park, Brentford has decided to move Odubajo on.
Midfielder Josh McEachran has also been released by the Bees, along with Yoann Barbet, Jack Bonham and Lewis Macleod.
An appreciative Odubajo took to the Social Media to appreciate Brentford despite being released.
“Just want to say a huge thank you to the fans & everyone behind the scenes @BrentfordFC for such a warm welcome when I returned and the support throughout the season at GP.”
The 25-year-old played for the England youth teams during his developmental years, despite his parental background from Nigeria.“After two years out, it has been amazing being back on the pitch & again I can’t thank you all enough.
He was born in England and has featured for his country of birth at several international competitions such as the 2015 Toulon Tournament with the U-20 Young Lions.
