Germany international Jamal Musiala has provided an explanation for his choice to represent Die Maanschaft.
Born in Stuttgart to Nigerian parents, the 19 year-old Attacker was brought up in England since the age of seven.
Musiala could choose to play for either Nigeria, Germany or England and he even represented England and Germany at youth levels, but ultimately chose to represent the country of his birth.
“I could have played for Nigeria because it crossed my mind, and I thought about it well. I had good talks with Nigeria and Germany,” Musiala told TeamNigeriaUK3.
“So it really just came down to me and where I’d feel the most comfortable. So I decided to go with Germany.”
