The Government of Bayelsa State has rewarded Bayelsa Queens with a sum of 28 million naira for their exploits at the recently concluded CAF Women Champions League.
Bayelsa Queens finished in third place at the tournament following the 1-0 victory against Simba Queens.
The first team players reportedly got a largesse of 1millioin naira each and 14 reserve players, five hundred thousand naira each.
Head coach Domo Okara got 1.1 million naira and his assistants, five hundred thousand naira each.
The support staff got a sum of three hundred thousand naira each and every board member, 1.5 million naira.
The team was got $200,000 prize money for finishing in third place.
