Baleria Vows To Revive Pillars’ Champions’ Status

Date:

Kano Pillars acting coach, Kabiru Baleria has declared that the team is set to return to champions-winning status in the coming year.

Footballlive.ng reports that Baleria is anticipating greater fortunes for Sai Masu Gida in 2019, as he says the technical crew have recruited well and the club’s management is solidly behind them.

The former youth international said he is anxiously awaiting the start of the new season, in order to unleash his revitalised squad on other clubs.

Baleria also thanked the club’s management for approving the crew’s off-season programme and praised the players for winning the recent Ahlan Cup pre-season competition in Kano, which he said was another way of showing they are ready for the 2019 NPFL challenge.

He stressed: “We must bounce back because our fans are expecting a lot from us and we also have set a big yardstick before us and we can’t fail.

“We have had a good pre-season thus far. We also have the privilege of playing some more games in Kano in a pre-season tournament.

“Other ones that we have played are to prepare us for the start of the season, to ensure that we are well charged for the start of the season.”
