Ola Aina got 90 minutes for Torino on Sunday when they played league leaders Napoli at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
However, it was a tough night for the Nigerian whose team have also had a topsy turvy start to the league season.
Aina went toe to toe with his Nigerian compatriot Victor Osimhen and it was the latter who actually struck the blow that vanquished the staunch resistance of the visitors.
Twice Napoli had been denied, first at the penalty spot and later by VAR before Osimhen’s late winner clinched it for Luciano Spalletti’s side.
Sunday’s defeat puts Torino on a 4-game winless run and they’ve now lost back to back games which sees them slump to 12th on the standings.
Meanwhile, Napoli consolidate their top spot in the league, maintaining a 2 points lead over second placed AC Milan.
