It all went quite for Taiwo Awoniyi for four games but on Thursday night the big Forward got the Union Berlin fans singing his tune again as he ended a brief drought in the Europa Conference League match against Maccabi Haifa.
Awoniyi came off the bench in the second half and after four minutes the Nigerian was celebrating his sixth goal in 11 games across all competitions this season.

The Forward certainly sealed his team’s victory off the bench, but the Bundesliga side were in control.
Urs Fischer’s men were two goals ahead and comfortably cruising at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.
Andreas Voglsammer (33′) and Kevin Behrens (48′) both fired the Iron Ones ahead before summer signing Awoniyi put the bow on a dominant performance.
