David Babajide scored his first league goal since October when Adana Demirspor faced relegation battling Sivasspor in the early kick off on Saturday.

Babajide, 27, scored and also got an assist against Sivasspor in the reverse fixture earlier this season when Adana cruised to a 3-0 victory.

In this recent clash between the sides, the visitors had taken the lead through Emre Akbaba (41′) before Babajide stretched the lead in the 56th minute.

But Sivasspor, who are hoping to avoid the relegation dog fight this season, were given some hope been when Ghana’s Isaac Cofie found the back of the net in the 62nd minute.

Ahmed Musa was named as a sub in the matchday squad for Sivasspor, however, Adana were without Henry Onyekuru who remains out with injury.

Meanwhile, Vincenzo Montella’s side continue their push for a European spot, and are also just three wins from the League’s summit.
