Super Falcons and Rosengard player, Halimatu Ayinde has commenced training training with the Super Falcons, albeit she had arrived six days after the Queensland camp opened.

Ayinde’s arrival completes the group of players invited by head coach Randy Waldrum for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

At the start of the 12-day camping exercise on July 3rd, the Super Falcons initially had 18 players training with the team.

However, the late arrivals of Francisca Ordega and Halimatu Ayinde added to the team’s positive atmosphere.

The Super Falcons are scheduled to kick off their World Cup campaign in just eight days’ time against Group B opponents Canada, who are the reigning Olympic champions.
