Super Eagles striker, Taiwo Awoniyi has asked fans to believe in the transfer decisions made by players rather than condemning their choices.

Many people were quick to point fingers at Awoniyi for making what was seen as an ill-timed decision to leave Union Berlin for newly promoted Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

At a time Berlin were top of the German Bundesliga, while Nottingham Forest where at the bottom of the English Premier League table, which caused most to scrutinize the reasoning.

Despite leading them out of the relegation zone, the transfer to Forest is still perceived as a wrong choice given that Union Belin finished fourth to secure Champions League qualification in Germany.

However, Taiwo Awoniyi himself in a chat with FL called for patience among fans with the transfer decisions footballers make.

“The truth is everyone has their opinion; now everyone is saying wow I made a good season, If I had stayed in my former club no one would have known how important I would have been for Nottingham Forest.

“My advise for everyone is not to look into people’s ideas and just keep on believing in them and keep on praying for them regardless of what move they make.

“I am a guy that always tells myself that the best I can do for myself is not to question my decision and just keep on working hard believing in God and see what happens afterwards.”
