Awaziem on target in Hajduk Split win

Chidozie Awaziem had a dramatic night for Hajduk Split on Sunday, as the side snatched a slim 2-1 win against NK Lokomotiva in the 1. HNL.

Awaziem scored his side’s first goal, but also gave away a penalty late in the game, but Hajduk held on to walk away with the maximum points.
The Nigerian, who is on loan from Boavista, inspired his side’s climb up the table to third in the standings.
His goal in the 33rd minute was doubled by Lukas Grgic six minutes later, but the visitors got one goal off the hosts after Sandro Kulenovic converted from the spot.
Next up for Hajduk Split is a home game in the second-leg, Europa Conference League playoff match against Villarreal.
