Aspirants chopped in NFF Election screening


The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Executive Committee election screening exercise result have been released.

In the report, two NFF presidential candidates, out of thirteen, have been disqualified. Mr Marcelinus Anyanwu and Mr Paul Yusuf were disqualified as a result of invalid nominations respectively.

Meanwhile, all candidates vying for the position of 1st Vice President, Mr Chinedu Okoye, Chief Felix Anyansi Agwu and Senator Obinna Oga, have been cleared.

Ahmed Yusuf, the only candidate for the Chairman of Chairmen was cleared as well, while every candidate for executive committee membership have been cleared except Mr Ayodeji Ogunjobi.

He was disqualified for not supplying evidence of tax payment, affidavit of loss of tax clearance certificate submitted was also not helpful relating to tax payments made to the FIRS.

A total of 45 people were screened, while 3 people were disqualified as a result of the exercise.

The elections into the Executive committee of the NFF is scheduled to hold on 30th September.
