Arsenal stumble in top four race

Arsenal’s Premier League top four ambitions suffered a blow on Saturday as the Gunners suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Southampton at St. Mary’s.

Jan Bednarek’s late first half goal determined the final outcome as Arsenal slumped to their third successive defeat in the PL.
The Saints needed the response after the humiliating 6-0 defeat to Chelsea last weekend.
However, Mikel Arteta’s men didn’t quite raise their game in the first half, but then went on to create 19 chances after the restart.
But, the Gunners fell short and we’re let down by their finishing.
The defeat leaves Arsenal in 6th position on the standings with a game in hand, but only three points separates them from fourth placed Tottenham.
Meanwhile, Tottenham were stunned 1-0 at home by Brighton.
Antonio Conte’s side were on a four-game winning run until Saturday.
Leandro Trossard’s 90th minute strike broke the hearts of the Spurs faithfuls.
