Arsenal blows Forest away in massive win… Awoniyi frustrated, Emmanuel gets sub role

Arsenal pulled no punches as they secured an emphatic home win, pummeling Nottingham Forest 5-0 to return top of the Premier League table on Sunday.

A dominant display from Mikel Arteta’s side saw even Thomas Partey (57′) get on the score sheet with an atypical long range spectacle.

The Gunners’ attacking prowess was on full display, as was they discipline and solidity in defence.

William Saliba won the 1v1 battles with Taiwo Awoniyi, who was rewarded with a starting berth by Steve Cooper for his Chivalry against Liverpool last time out.

Awoniyi cut a frustrated figure as he struggled in the air, for pace and was reduced to half chance.

Like the rest of the Forest team, even Emmanuel Dennis’ introduction off the bench in the second half did not trouble Arsenal’s defence.

Gabriel Martinellli (5′), Reiss Nelson (49′, 52′) and Martin Ødegaard (78′) were among the goal scorers.

Arsenal’s next PL game is a London derby against Chelsea on November 6, at Stamford Bridge.
