Aribo returns to inspire Rangers 5-0 thumping of Hearts

Joe Aribo continued to impress for Rangers, when he turned up in Sunday’s 5-0 win over Hearts in a Premiership match at the Ibrox Stadium.

Aribo returned to the starting XI after his bench role in the Europa League match away to  Feyenoord on Thursday.

 

The young Nigerian was pivotal to the Gers’ securing an 8-game unbeaten streak to keep the league title chase on leaders Celtics to to just goals difference.

 

Aribo got an assist, after he set up Ryan Kent in the 37th minute for Rangers to double their lead.

 

Alfredo Morelos had opened the floodgates as early as the 11th minute; goals from Greg Stewart and a Christophe Berra’s own goal sealed an easy win for Steven Gerrard’s side.

 

The Nigeria international had a decent outing, played the duration of the match but was booked the 45th minute.

 

Aribo has made 12 league appearances this season and scored a goal.
