Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo was in action for Seventy-four minutes as he helped Southampton to a one-all draw against West Ham United.
It was an important point for Southampton and manager Ralph Hasenhüttl, who has been under pressure given the side’s poor form.
The Saints have lost their last 4 games and weren’t favourites to get a point but they gave a spirited display and took the lead through Romain Perraud in the 20th minute.
Southampton took the lead into the second half, and it looked like West Ham would need something special to break them and Declan Rice did just that.
Rice’s run met a perfect defence-splitting pass to keep the keeper stranded on the spot and hand the Hammers a deserved equaliser in the 64th minute.
Southampton have only picked up 8th points from their first 10 matches leaving them 18th on the log.
