Joe Aribo has expressed disappointment in his lack of goals so far in the Africa Cup of Nations for Nigeria, but maintains he still has that objective to check off his list.
Aribo who has been deployed as Nigeria’s number 10 in Cameroon, plays in the midfield alongside Wilfred Ndidi and has the freedom to roam and attack.
In the first set of games in the group stage, the midfielder had gone close to scoring on a number of occasions but is yet to get his debut AFCON goal.
‘I am actually quite disappointed to be honest because I thought I should have scored today (Saturday), but definitely, it’s still on my mind and I want to get goals and help the team as far as we can go,’ the player told FL.
