At the weekend Emmanuel Apeh was in action for Segunda Liga side Alcorcon in the trip to the Estadio de los Juegos MediterrĂ¡neos to face Umar Sadiq’s UD Almeria.

Both players were named as starters for their respective sides, for Apeh his 16th league appearance, since the loan move from Tenerife, was a chance to show he can hold his own against big sides.
However, the Forward was missing his scoring boots on this occasion, and eventually played only Sixty-nine minutes before he was replaced.
This season, Apeh has scored only three league goals; 2 at Alcorcon and 1 in his 8 appearances at Tenerife.
A sharp contrast from Sadiq, who has 17 goals and 12 assists from 35 appearances.
Yet the game also did not produce any goal scoring action until the 81st minute when the visitors took a deserved lead.
But Almeria struck back in stoppage time to keep their automatic La Liga promotion hopes alive.
Meanwhile, Alcorcon’s relegation from the Segunda B has been long confirmed, while Tenerife have secured a promotion playoff spot.
