Frank Onyeka came off the bench in the second half of the Premier League match for Brentford at Anfield.

Brentford were guests of Liverpool on Sunday, but the trip back home would have been a solemn one as Onyeka and his teammates were battered and bruised by the Reds.

The Nigeria was introduced after the break, for Vitaly Janelt – with the scoreline still 1-0.

Liverpool already had two goals chalked off by VAR, but Egyptian talisman Mohamed Salah eventually broke the deadlock in the 39th minute.

Salah got his second just after the hour mark and the win was wrapped up by Diogo Jota in the 74th minute.

It was Frank Onyeka’s 10th league appearance and first defeat after three wins on the bounce.
