“It’s an awesome moment for me to be here as a National team coach of Tanzania to cast my vote for the best African Footballer of the year, It gladdens my heart to be here.
I remember the year I won it as a player now am casting my vote as a National team coach, it’s a great moment for me.”
“The beauty of this is seeing my ex team mates, Victor Ikpeba, Kanu Nwankwo is here, the ones I’ve played against Alain Gouaméné (Former Ivorian goalkeeper), Papiss Cissé (former player of Senegal) a lot of people and ex player.
it’s more like a reunion with ex team mates and ex players of National teams. We are all gathered here, and we are currently in a training to keep fit, we just want to play to stretch the body.”
“I think am super happy as a coach, I’m happy that am in Senegal as the Head Coach of the National team of Tanzania and I’ve won the African footballer of the year before, so am casting my vote now as a coach” he said
