Every player in the Nigeria U23 camp – homes or foreign based – has equal opportunity to make the final cut for the team to face Sudan in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier next month.
Nigeria will play away to Sudan in the first-leg scheduled for September 6, and Amapakabo hopes to have the best available legs ready for the tie.
“Every player who is eligible will be part of it. It’s a process you know, like I always say, every footballer within the age bracket has the right to represent his country if he has the prerequisite skills to make the team; we try to give everyone equal opportunity,” He told footballlive.ng.
“So, these players, some of them are new and there are others who have been with us for a while.
“They’re all working hard, but at all times we have to put our best forward, and hopefully, I believe we’ll give our best when we play against Sudan.”
