Amaju Pinnick Did Not Fail – Olopade

The former NFF board led by Amaju Pinnick did not entirely fail to advance the sport in its eight-year reign according to NFF Youth Football Competition member, Bukola Olopade.

Olopade believes the Pinnick-led NFF delivered, mostly, on its set objectives for the Sport in spite of the prevailing economic crunch during that period.

Speaking on “The Big Interview”, Brila FM’s Breakfast Show , Olopade noted, that Amaju Pinnick should not solely bare the blame for the failure of various National teams, that failed to meet their objectives.

‘Pinnick said ahead of time, that it might not be possible for the Super Eagles to qualify for all tournaments, I don’t believe he should be blamed when National teams don’t do well.

‘ In my opinion the Pinnick board met about 80percent of their KPIs and that’s some appreciable success if one truly understands how difficult the Sports Administration terrain in Nigeria is.’

‘There are no more minnows in football and especially in Africa. Teams are improving rapidly on the continent and it will not be business as usual.’

‘ It’s best that we allow the man (Amaju Pinnick) retire from the scrutiny especially since he’s no longer the NFF President.’
