Algeria vs Nigeria: Super Eagles camp date revealed

Nigeria’s camp ahead of the international friendly against Algeria will open September 19th, FL has gathered.

The friendly between Algeria and Nigeria is scheduled to hold on September 27, in Oran.

According to FL sources, the camp will not be held in the team’s base in Abuja and several players have been sent their Call ups through their club sides.

Sochaux confirmed in a statement:

Valentine Ozornwafor has been called up to Nigeria’s squad for the upcoming international break.
The Super Eagles will play a friendly match against Algeria on September 27 in Oran.
The Sochaux defender is called to join his national team on September 19, with which he currently has three selections.

September’s FIFA window was initially meant for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, but postponement of the Tournament from June 2023 to January 2024 altered the dates for qualifiers.

Hence the NFF reached an agreement with its Algerian counterpart, La Fédération Algérienne de football, for the international friendly.

Meanwhile, both teams will not be at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar coming up in November.
