Nigeria’s injury problems during this international window is unfortunate, but head Coach Jose Peseiro says he isn’t worried about his team coping well without the absentees.

Wilfred Ndidi and William Troost-Ekong were among 24 players the players who traveled to the Super Eagles’ base in Constantine, for the friendly against Algeria, but both have returned to their respective clubs due to injury concerns.

While Ndidi left without taking part in Nigeria’s earlier practice game with the Algeria B team, Ekong did and suffered a knock during the game.

Meanwhile, later tonight, the Super Eagles and Algeria’s A team will clash in Oran and Peseiro has reacted to what his team’s chances are with the latest injury crisis.

‘The main concern is about the players who are available to play,’ the Super Eagles head Coach said.

‘The players, they know what we want and what to do, also how they can go about it and I have confidence in the team.’

‘I believe the squad we have now is good enough and they’ll fight for a good result.’
