Smouha snatched a point on the road against league leaders Al Ahly in their Egypt PL clash on Sunday.
A goalless result at the Al Salam Stadium made Smouha the first team to shut out The Red Devils on their home turf this season.
They also became only the second team to deny Al Ahly maximum points, but remain unbeaten and stay ahead of Zamalek in the Standings.
Despite their dominance in the Christmas Day fixture, with 65% possession and six goal attempts, Al Ahly only managed to register a shot on goal – two less than the visitors.
Smouha were disciplined all round and kept the League’s second best attack at bay.
22 year-old Sodiq Ougola and his compatriot Abubakar Liday featured in the game, but, the latter came on as a second half substitute.
Ougola has a goal to his name this season, but the forward was kept out and racked up 88 minutes in the game.
