Leading goalscorer at the NPFL Championship playoffs, Cyril Olisema of Akwa United has dubbed his goalscoring exploits a big plus to his career.
Speaking to brila.net, Cyril noted that he has been fortunate to have been able to convert goalscoring chances that came his way and expressed hope that he would get more goals.
“I thanks God for the number of goals I have scored in the playoffs so far. The fight isn’t over yet, i just hope i can add more goals to my name. It is a big plus to my career and a great motivation. “
The midfielder equally took time out to heap praises on the organizers of the NPFL Championship playoffs while hailing fans that have also made the stadium a good ground to play football.
“So far, I am impressed by the way it is been organised. Everything is going well. Kudos to the 6 teams, the fans. Lagos is a good place, the atmosphere is great and the officials are great. I thank God for an opportunity to play in the super 6. It feels like i am representing the country cause the media helps to showcase our talents and we don’t know who is watching and we hope rest at the end of the super 6 God would bless our effort with good offers.”
Akwa United are currently campaigning in the NPFL Championship involving six teams with the hope of securing one of the 3 available continental tickets.
