Former Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom grabbed the headlines in Greece with a superb strike and quality performance on Sunday.
The sharp shooter who led the line for PAOK Thessaloniki FC against PAS Giannina was handed a starters shirt in the Greek Super League encounter.
He didn’t disappoint the trust reposed on him and scored a superb opener for the visiting team.
PAOK Thessaloniki FC won 2-0 at the Zossimades Stadium. Yevhen Shakhov bagged the second goal of the game.
Akpom sealed his move to the Greek Super League side from Arsenal last summer, ending his 16-year association with the Gunners with just 12 appearances under his belt.
The London-born striker failed to score in any competitive game for Arsenal – and made just four English Premier League appearances.
He has scored 20 goals in 44 encounters for England’s youth national sides. His performances for Sint-Truiden VV attracted the interest of various European clubs, with PAOK beating competition and securing his signature.
