Akor Adams stole the spotlight on his Montpellier debut, netting two stunning goals that helped his side to a 2-2 draw against La Havre in Ligue 1.

Despite Adams’ standout performance, Montpellier just couldn’t hold on to the lead as Samuel Grandsir’s late equalizer denied Michel Der Zarkarian a 10th win in 17 games since his return to Stade de la Mosson.

La Havre scored an early goal in the 6th minute, but had nothing to show afterwards as Montpellier dominated possession but struggled to convert their chances.

While his new teammates struggled up front, Adams took matters into his own hands.

He equalized with a powerful header in the 58th minute and then demonstrated his individual brilliance with a precise shot into the far corner.

However, Le Havre’s late resurgence saw them snatch an equalizer to share the spoils.
