Super Falcons forward, Rasheedat Ajibade has described the goalless draw with Canada at the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup is a step in the right direction.

The Super Falcons rebuffed the pressure from Canada to earn a point in a tensed encounter at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium.

Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie denied Canada’s Christine Sinclair a chance to score from the penalty spot, and Deborah Abiodun got sent off late in stoppage time.

Ajibade did not feature in the game as she served her suspension for a sending off at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The Forward said she hoped to see the team win, but, accepts a draw as a fair result against the Olympic Champions.
