Rasheedat Ajibade was an unused substitute last week when Atletico Madrid trounced Sporting Huelva 3-1 in a Liga F match on Sunday.
Ajibade was left on the bench by Atleti head coach, Óscar Fernández, as the 23 year-old who has been a regular this season needed to be rested after 18 straight appearances.
In the Primera Division the visitors were given the lead through Ludmila, while Estefania Banini (50′) and Andrea Staskova (60′) joined in on the party to extend Atleti’s lead at the Campo Federativo de la Orden.
Eventually, the hosts pulled on back, a stoppage time goal from Anna Simonsson (90+4′) only helped Sporting Heulva make the scoreline look respectable.
Atleti dominated the game and needed the win to keep up the chase with the top three teams.
They snapped a four-game winless run and currently sit fourth, 11points points behind third placed Levante – outside the European spots – after 18 round of matches.
