Oluwasemilogo Ajayi returned from injury but is yet to work his way back into the starting place at West Brom.
Ajayi was an unused substitute in West Brom’s home win in the Championship against Preston on Thursday.
The CB has now been left on the bench in three consecutive games by manager Carlos Corberán.
West Brom won two of three games, and beat Preston 2-0 courtesy a brace (36′ 57′) from Okay Yokuslu.
Those three points moved the Baggies into the top half of the table and just one point from a promotion playoff spot.
Next they face Reading on January 2 at The Hawthorns.
