Torino defender Ola Aina says he could “imagine” himself staying with the Italian Serie A side for the long term.
The Nigeria international is on a season-long loan from Chelsea and he has been a consistent performer for Walter Mazzarri side.
Aina says he is enjoying life in the Italian top flight and would be happy to join permanently – if Chelsea agreed to the deal.
Asked by Calciomercato.com if he was interested in turning the move to a permanent one, Aina said: “Stay in Turin? Why not? They have a great support team and the club has an important story.
“You can start with the fans to understand how everything works.
“It is a nice place to be and I am very happy here.”
Southwark-born Ola Aina signed for Chelsea as an Under-11 and started his career as a right winger with an eye for goal, before moving further back and establishing himself predominantly as a highly mobile full-back, also capable of playing as a central defender.
Aina signed a new contract at Stamford Bridge in August 2018, keeping him at the club until 2021.
He joined Torino on a season-long loan back in August, but the Serie A club included an option to sign him for £8.7m as part of the deal.
The 22-year-old has made a big impression for Torino this term, making 29 appearances in all competitions as a right and left back, helping them climb to sixth in the table.
Torino have already decided they want to buy the Nigeria international, while Fiorentina are also keen on his services.
