The NFF director of technical committee Bitrus Bewarang believes the form of Super Eagles players in Europe and other parts of the World is a major plus to their quest to win the AFCON in Egypt for the fourth time. Speaking with Footballlive.ng, the former coach said, things are looking good as far as the form of the players is concerned.
“The players are doing well in Europe I’m happy for their present form ahead of the camping next month.
The likes of Kenneth Omeruo is doing well in the defence line of CD Leganes, Samuel Chukwueze another new kid in the block with with Villarreal, Henry Onyekuru scoring goals in the Turkish league, Odion Ighalo has scored six goals in six matches, Ahmed Musa is good player any time any day.
Wilfred Ndidi has succeeded to be the engine room of Leicester city for the past two years, I did watch him in the match against Arsenal and his sense of tactical discipline is not in doubt.
“I think if they can continue in this manner till the end of the season Super Eagles can be close to winning the fourth Nations Cup title”.
The technical Director of NFF who was assistant coach to coach Westerof in 1994 where the Super Eagles won the Second title in Tunisia, concluded that the team needs an element of luck to win the title again.
