Former Super Eagles attacker, Julius Aghahowa has revealed that many promises made to the team in their playing days were fake as they found out most only in the media.
Aghahowa, who is a pundit on Brila FM’s Qatar 2022 World Cup coverage, described as misleading the impression that the Super Eagles enjoyed financial motivation.
He said there were lots of promises made to the team, but none was redeemed.
‘Even if those monies were really released, nobody in the team got anything. We moved on with our lives; returned to our respective clubs and just assume that those who were in charge interfaced represented our interests.’
