Manchester United are likely to miss out on Victor Osimhen, following the recent revelation by his agent Roberto Calenda.
The Premier League side are interested in the Nigerian forward and a potential swap deal with Cristiano Ronaldo and an unspecified amount in cash have been mentioned.
Manchester United are ready to allow Ronaldo leave the Club and his agent Jorge Mendez has offered Napoli the chance to sign the Portuguese this summer.
Reports in the Italian media, however, suggests that Napoli have informed Manchester United they’ll want €120M for Osimhen and Ronaldo on loan with United paying his entire salary.
Yet, Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda has dismissed the reports, saying there is no negotiation between Napoli and the English club over the transfer of Osimhen.
“No negotiations in progress, no exchanges. Victor Osimhen is a Napoli player and wants to play the Champions League with Napoli after winning it on the pitch with pride, together with the coach and teammates.”
Osimhen started the new campaign with a bang, scoring two goals and assisting one in Napoli’s first two games.
He scored 18 goals last season in all competitions for the Partenopei, who achieved their aim of playing in the Champions League.
The 23-year-old still has three years left on his contract at Napoli.
