African Women Football Growing — Moses Aduku

Edo Queens manager, Moses Aduku has suggested that African women football is definitely growing, although it is slow paced as against the rest of the world, however it would take a bit of time.

Aduku said women’s football is now experiencing economic growth and Africa will not be too far behind.

In a chat with FL, the former NWPL winner commended the administrators of the Women football in Nigeria and stressed that they have done a good job of laying the right foundation for the sport in the country.

However, he expressed hope that the new NFF board will build on the foundations laid.

‘What is left to do is the rapid movement of players to foreign leagues. If we do this, soon, it will be a big benefit for Nigeria.’

The Edo Queens manager also said, that the quality of Nigerian women football players is remains one of the best on the continent.

‘Nigerian clubs have come far, however, they still lack in preparation for big games. Preparing well for the big games means analyzing the performances of the opponents via video analysis, which would enable teams strategize properly.’
