Afelokhai Still Likely For Super Eagles’ Invitation

Enyimba of Aba goalkeeper,Theophilus Afelokhai may yet get an invitation to the Super Eagles before the year runs out, as reports reaching indicate that the inform shot-stopper is still under the searchlight of national team handler, Gernot Rohr.

Although Afelokhai is not included in the squad list to battle Libya in two impending back-to-batch of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, feelers indicate he is being monitored by Rohr.

Afelokhai has outshone Eagles’ second choice, Ikechukwu Ezenwa at Enyimba, following the suspension of their Ghanaian star, Fatau Dauda for discipline.

Since then, Afelokhai has performed well in their CAF Confederation Cup and was picked ahead of Ezenwa for their last group match in the 2018 Federation Cup.

However, despite his present status ahead of Ezenwa, Rohr is yet to think much of Afelokhai, and again left him out of the list to face Libya for upcoming AFCON 2019 qualifiers.

However, reports reaching reveal that the former Kano Pillars keeper is still under observation by the Eagles’ crew and could get an invitation for future games.
