Former Nigerian international Ike Shorunmu has called on the national team coach, Gernot Rohr to maintain a high level of hard work and persistence if the team is to come out good not just in the qualifiers, but also during the AFCON competition proper.

The former goalkeeper in a chat with footballlive.ng said what is required to get the best out of the players is continuous hard work to improve on areas where the team is lacking and persistence to maintain the relatively good results the team have come up with.

Shorunmu, who was also one time the national team goalkeeper trainer urged the players to ensure proper focus on the two legged encounter between Nigeria and Libya in order to ensure they win both legs and top the group.
