AFCON Qualifier: Sudanese Referee Mahmood Ismail to Officiate Sierra Leone vs Nigeria Match

Mahmood Ismail will serve as the centre referee for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Nigeria and Sierra Leone, according to the Confederation of African Football.

Ismail, 35, started officiating in 2017 and had only previously officiated two Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers – both involving Algeria.

 

Joining him on Officiating duties his compatriot Mohammed Ibrahim will serve as Assistant Referee 1. Additionally, Liban Ahmed, an official from Djibouti, will serve as Assistant Referee 2.

The fourth official for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match between Nigeria and Sierra Leone will be Mohamed Guedi, who is also from Djibouti.

News of the match officials was disclosed in a statement issued, Wednesday, by the Communication department of the Nigeria Football Federation.
