Ola Aina has assured Nigerian football fans that the team will get victory against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions.

Aina believes the present Cameroon team don’t have the quality to send Nigeria packing from the competition.

Rather, the defender implied that the Eagles will use the game as ‘a stepping Stone to the quarter-finals of the tournament’ footballlive.ng can report.

Reacting to Nigeria’s performance in the group stage of the competition, Aina admits the team haven’t played convincingly and were underwhelming in the defeat to Madagascar.

“I think it was one of the upset in football. I think people should not use our last game against Madagascar to judge us, rather it’s a wake up call and extra motivation to all of us here.

“We are not ready to come home and it’s a do or die tomorrow and we have to do everything to stay in the tournament,” the player said after a Press Conference in Alexandria on Friday ahead of the last-16 tie.

“It’s going to be an acid test against Cameroon. We faced them in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers and they might be out for revenge so we have to be ready for them.

The same thing happened at home vs South Africa at the start of qualifying. Games like that happen,” said Aina.
