MARSEILLE’S Adil Rami has been caught in the middle of a sexism storm after attacking his own club.
The defender, who is reportedly engaged to former Playboy model Pamela Anderson, hit out at the French side’s own social media team.
It was sparked ahead of Marseille’s 3-2 friendly defeat to Spanish side Real Betis. The club tweeted: “It is a pleasure to be playing the best team in Sevilla.”
Real Betis and Sevilla are fierce rivals and with their stadiums situated just three miles apart.
But Rami, who spent two years playing for Sevilla and helped them to the Europa League title, was having none of it.
It came before Marseille’s friendly defeat against Real Betis. Adil Rami questioned whether Marseille’s social media account was run by a girl.
Meanwhile, the player is currently in Los Angeles with Pamela Anderson who paraded a giant sparkler on her left hand, and introduced her lover to her mum.
Dejan Lovren has joined Mohamed Salah in supporting under-fire Liverpool teammate Loris Karius.
A Liverpool ‘fan’ page titled “anfieldclub._” poked fun of Karius following his pre-season errors.
The Instagram account posted the following message, while tagging the pair of Liverpool keepers, accompanied with a video of Karius’ mistake.
“Thank god we’ve got Alisson Becker. It’s becoming a regular thing for Loris Karius. I seriously believe that we should sell him because even as a backup he’s just full of mistakes. I don’t care what anyone says but he is not worthy of wearing the LFC shirt.
“And this is for all the mistakes he makes in general for the ones thinking that I’m slaughtering him just for this…”
Lovren spotted the post, and left a scathing comment.
Nice show of support, Dejan.
He’s not the only player leaping to Karius’ defence.
Mo Salah and legendary Spanish keeper Iker Casillas also stuck up for Karius via Twitter.
