Ademola Lookman has achieved a milestone at Atalanta, breaking a 70-year scoring record with his 13 league goals in a debut season.
Lookman’s achievement was cemented during his club’s Serie A fixture at the Stadio Giovanni Zini on Saturday when he scored the third goal in a 3-1 win over Cremonese.
Last weekend, the Nigerian ended his seven-game goal drought coming on to score his 13th goal in 27 appearances.
It is the first time since Poul Rasmussen in the 1952/1953 season that an Atalanta player achieved this feat in their debut Serie A season.
Meanwhile, Ademola Lookman has now moved into the third spot in the League’s top scorers’ list this season, knocking off countryman Victor Osimhen’s partner-in-crime, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia off the position.
