Adebayo Adeleye has received a National team invitation for Nigeria’s 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Guinea-Bissau.
Adeleye has managed a shutout in eight games for Hapoel Jerusalem in the Ligat ha’Al this season, and he has also been the club’s number one consistently, racking up 20appearances in the course of the league campaign.
The 22 year-old is yet to earn a cap for Nigeria in spite of several past invitations, but he could get a shot at earning a debut cap with the goalkeeping department of the Super Eagles lacking in options.
The three-time champions will host Guinea Bissau on the 24th of March in the first of two meetings between the teams.
Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, will host the Nigeria leg of the tie, while the second comes up March 27, at the Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro in Bissau.
