According to Adana Demirspor President Murat Sancak, the decision to sign Henry Onyekuru on a permanent contract was driven by the player’s impressive performance and impact during his loan spell.

Onyekuru initially joined Adana Demirspor on loan from Olympiacos in the Greek Super League last summer and during the course of the week.

The move was made permanent after Adana paid an agreed €3.5 million to Olympiacos for a three-year contract.

“We had to take up the option that was contained in our agreement that we do so should we qualify to play in Europe,” Sancak told the club’s official website.

Last season for Adana Demirspor, Henry Onyekuru contributed eight goals and two assists in 30 appearances across various competitions.
