Abu Azeez hit a landmark of 103 goals in Beach Soccer on Wednesday as he helped the Super Sand Eagles secure a spot in the final of the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations.

Abu Azeez netted a haul in Nigeria’s 7-6 win over host nation Egypt, who were undefeated until the semis, at the Laguna Vista in Sharm El-Sheikh.   At the last edition of the Beach Soccer AFCON he managed only four goals as Nigeria finished as runner-up behind Senegal.   So far he has notched up 7 goals, six shy of his tournament high 13 goals scored in 2013, at the sixth edition of the competition.   He celebrated the milestone 100th goal with a picture of his famous number 8 jersey accompanied with the caption: Thank you Nigerians for the support, double celebration for me,qualifying for the world cup next year in paraguay and reaching my 100 beachsoccer goals, such a great feat, thank you to my coaches and all my team mates   Wednesday’s semi-final victory also secured Nigeria one of Africa’s only two world cup tickets for the 2019 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Paraguay.
