Super Eagles fullback Shehu Abdullahi has thanked Nigerians for goodwill messages following the injury suffered in the team’s first game of the tournament against Burundi at the ongoing Africa cup of nations in Egypt.
Abdullahi speaking in a chat with www.brila.net calmed Nigerians and stressed that his injury wouldn’t cost the team that much because there are other players who are equally good enough to take his place and play. He thereafter also wished the Super Eagles team the best of luck ahead of today’s game and in subsequent matches.
“I’m getting better now and everything is under control. The good thing is that we got the three points and I am wishing the team the best of luck and the good thing is that everybody can play and everybody is ready to play and I thanked Nigerians for their concern.”
